These little bars are sinfully delicious! They do require 2 steps, to make the crust and then the topping, but it’s easy and totally worth it.

Ingredients:

Crust:

2/3 cup confectioner’s sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup butter, softened

Topping:

12 tablespoons butter
¼ cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon corn syrup
½ teaspoon lemon juice
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup honey
2 cups pecan pieces

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9 x 12 inch baking pan.

To make the crust, sift together the flour and sugar. Add the butter using a fork or pastry cutter and blend until crumbs form. Use hands to work into a dough. Pat dough evenly into the greased 9 x 12 inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes.

To make the topping, melt the butter in a small sauce pan, then add the honey, cream, corn syrup, brown sugar and lemon juice and stir over low heat until combined. Stir in the pecans and mix thoroughly. Remove from heat and spread evenly over the crust. Return to oven and bake for another 25 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into small squares.

Enjoy!
